2. Service Description

MoneyRight is a loan matching platform that connects borrowers with licensed financial institutions in Singapore. We are not a lender and do not provide loans directly.

Our Services Include:

  • Loan matching and comparison services
  • Personalised loan recommendations
  • Application facilitation and processing
  • Credit profile optimisation guidance
  • Educational content and resources

2.2 SingPass Integration

Our platform integrates with Singapore’s SingPass system to:

  • Verify your identity securely
  • Retrieve verified personal and financial information
  • Streamline the loan application process
  • Ensure data accuracy and prevent fraud

2.3 Partner Network

We work exclusively with:

  • Licensed banks regulated by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS)
  • Licensed moneylenders regulated by the Ministry of Law
  • Other approved financial institutions

3. User Obligations and Responsibilities

3.1 Accurate Information

You agree to:

  • Provide truthful, accurate, and complete information
  • Update your information promptly when it changes
  • Not misrepresent your financial situation or identity
  • Cooperate with verification procedures

3.2 Proper Use of Service

You agree to use MoneyRight only for:

3.3 Prohibited Activities

You must not:

  • Attempt to circumvent our security measures
  • Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access our Service

  • Submit fraudulent or frivolous applications
  • Interfere with the proper functioning of our platform
  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations

3.4 Singpass Compliance

When using Singpass authentication, you agree to:

  • Use only your own Singpass credentials
  • Comply with Singpass terms and conditions
  • Not share or misuse Singpass information
  • Report any suspicious Singpass-related activities

4. Loan Matching Process

4.1 Application Submission

When you submit a loan application:

  • We assess your eligibility based on provided information
  • We match you with suitable partner lenders
  • We share your data only with your explicit consent
  • We facilitate introductions to interested lenders

4.2 Lender Interactions

Important: All loan decisions, terms, and approvals are made solely by partner lenders, not by MoneyRight.

Our Role:

  • Facilitate introductions between you and lenders
  • Provide platform for loan comparisons
  • Offer guidance on application optimisation

Our Limitations:

  • We cannot guarantee loan approval
  • We do not control loan terms or conditions
  • We are not responsible for lender decisions
  • We do not provide financial advice

4.3 Data Sharing

With your consent, we share your information with:

  • Pre-selected partner lenders based on your profile
  • Service providers necessary for loan processing
  • Third parties as disclosed in our Privacy Policy

You can withdraw consent at any time, but this may affect our ability to provide services.

5. Fees and Charges

5.1 MoneyRight Fees

Our Service is FREE for borrowers. We do not charge users for:

  • Account creation and maintenance
  • Loan matching services
  • Application submissions
  • Lender introductions

5.2 Third-Party Fees

Partner lenders may charge:

  • Processing fees
  • Administrative charges
  • Interest and other loan-related fees

These fees are set by lenders, not MoneyRight. Always review loan terms carefully before acceptance.

5.3 Future Fee Changes

We reserve the right to introduce fees for premium services with 30 days’ advance notice to users.

6. Service Availability and Modifications

6.1 Service Availability

We strive to maintain 24/7 service availability but cannot guarantee:

  • Uninterrupted access to our platform
  • Error-free operation at all times
  • Compatibility with all devices or browsers
  • Availability during maintenance periods

6.2 Service Modifications

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of our Service:

  • To improve functionality and user experience
  • For security or legal compliance reasons
  • Due to technical limitations or business decisions
  • With reasonable notice when possible

6.3 Singpass Integration (Optional Service)

Singpass/MyInfo integration is an optional convenience feature that allows faster application processing. Users can choose to:

  • Use Singpass for automatic data retrieval and verification
  • Submit applications manually with document uploads
  • Switch between methods at any time

Singpass Service Limitations: When using optional Singpass features, we are not responsible for:

  • Singpass system downtime or maintenance
  • Government policy changes affecting Singpass/MyInfo
  • Technical issues with MyInfo data retrieval
  • Inaccuracies in government-provided data
  • Changes to MyInfo data scope or availability

Alternative Application Methods:

  • Manual form completion remains available at all times
  • Document upload options for verification
  • Customer support assistance for application completion

7. Intellectual Property Rights

7.1 MoneyRight Property

We own all rights to:

  • The MoneyRight platform, website, and mobile applications
  • Our proprietary loan matching algorithms
  • All content, designs, logos, and trademarks
  • Software, databases, and technical infrastructure

7.2 User License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to:

  • Access and use our Service for personal purposes
  • View and download content for personal use only

This license does not include rights to:

  • Reproduce, distribute, or modify our content
  • Use our trademarks or branding
  • Access our source code or proprietary algorithms
  • Create derivative works or competing services

7.3 User Content

You retain ownership of information you provide, but grant us:

  • A non-exclusive license to use your data for Service provision
  • Rights to analyse anonymised data for service improvements
  • Permission to share information as described in our Privacy Policy

8. Disclaimers and Limitations

IMPORTANT: MoneyRight provides services “AS IS” without warranties of any kind.

We disclaim all warranties including:

  • Loan Approval: We cannot guarantee loan approval or specific terms
  • Lender Performance: We are not responsible for lender actions or decisions
  • Data Accuracy: While we strive for accuracy, we cannot guarantee error-free information
  • Service Continuity: We cannot guarantee uninterrupted service availability

8.2 Financial Advice Disclaimer

We do not provide financial advice. Our Service includes:

  • General educational information only
  • Platform facilitation and matching services
  • Tools for comparison and analysis

You should:

  • Consult qualified financial advisors for personalised advice
  • Carefully review all loan terms before acceptance
  • Consider your individual financial circumstances
  • Seek independent legal advice when necessary

8.3 Third-Party Services

We are not responsible for:

  • Actions or decisions of partner lenders
  • Third-party website content or policies
  • SingPass or government system availability
  • External service provider performance

9. Limitation of Liability

9.1 Jurisdictional Variations

Some countries or jurisdictions may not allow the disclaimers in this clause, in which case these disclaimers will not apply to you.

9.2 General Liability Limitations

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we (including our holding company(ies), subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, employees, agents, representatives, partners and licensors (collectively, “Our Entities”)) expressly limit our liabilities in connection with or arising out of the provision of the MoneyRight platform as follows:

(a) we provide the Platform and any products or services we offer on an “as is” and “as available” basis, and your access to or use of our Platform is at your own risk;

(b) we give no assurance, representation or warranty of any kind (whether express or implied) about the Platform and any products or services we provide;

(c) we do not guarantee that the information or content you find on the Platform is always accurate, truthful, complete and up-to-date;

(d) we expressly disclaim all warranties and representations (for example, warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement);

(e) we are not responsible for any delay or disruption in our Platform or any defect, viruses, bugs or errors;

(f) we are not responsible for the conduct of or any content or information submitted or posted by any user of the Platform (whether online or offline); and

(g) we cannot guarantee loan approval, specific loan terms, or lender decisions.

9.3 Excluded Damages

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Our Entities are not liable to you or others for:

(a) any indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, consequential or punitive damages; or

(b) any loss of data, business, opportunities, reputation, profits or revenues, relating to the use of our Platform or any products or services we offer.

9.4 Legal Exceptions

We do not exclude or limit our liability to you where it would be illegal to do so. This includes any of our liability for fraud or making fraudulent misrepresentation in operating the Platform or providing the products or services we offer.

9.5 Consumer Rights Protection

If you are using the Platform as a consumer, in some countries or jurisdictions you may have certain legal rights as a consumer. In such cases, nothing in these terms limit your legal rights as a consumer that may not be waived by contract.

9.6 Aggregate Liability Cap

Other than the types of liabilities that we cannot limit by law, the liabilities of Our Entities to you (on aggregate) are limited to the amount you have paid us (if any) for the use of our Platform or for any products or services we offer over the last twelve (12) months.

Note: Since MoneyRight currently provides free services to borrowers, this cap effectively means SGD $0 unless you have paid for premium services.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold MoneyRight harmless from:

  • Claims arising from your use of our Service
  • Your violation of these Terms or applicable law
  • Inaccurate or fraudulent information you provide
  • Your interactions with partner lenders
  • Any damage to third parties caused by your actions

11. Privacy and Data Protection

11.1 Privacy Policy

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy, which governs:

  • How we collect, use, and protect your personal data
  • Your rights under Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act
  • Our data sharing practices with partner lenders

11.2 Consent to Data Processing

By using our Service, you consent to:

  • Collection and processing of your personal data
  • Sharing information with partner lenders for loan matching
  • Use of cookies and tracking technologies
  • International data transfers as necessary for Service provision

11.3 Data Security

We implement reasonable security measures to protect your data, but cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • Using secure internet connections
  • Reporting suspected security breaches immediately

12. Account Termination

12.1 Termination by You

You may terminate your account at any time by:

  • Following account closure procedures
  • Requesting data deletion (subject to legal retention requirements)

12.2 Termination by MoneyRight

We may suspend or terminate your account for:

  • Violation of these Terms
  • Fraudulent or suspicious activity
  • Inactivity for extended periods (12+ months)
  • Legal or regulatory requirements
  • Technical or business reasons

12.3 Effect of Termination

Upon account termination:

  • Your access to the Service will cease immediately
  • Outstanding obligations remain in effect
  • We may retain your data as required by law
  • Partner lenders may continue processing active applications
  • These Terms survive termination where applicable

15. Miscellaneous Provisions

15.1 Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any additional agreements, constitute the entire agreement between you and MoneyRight.

Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of modified Terms.

  • The overall agreement continues binding

15.4 No Waiver
